Refurbishment of a castle

The castle was built at the end of the 19th century on the foundations of the extant ruins of an older castle. In this ancestral home inhabited to this very day, all rooms are eclectically designed in different architectural styles. Depending on the state of preservation of the individual rooms and objects, the surfaces are carefully renovated and complemented. New objects were only added where the substance was no longer worth preserving or, due to functional reasons, spatial and structural changes were needed. All new built-in fitments refer to existing materials or structural elements. They are modern interpretations of the existing parts.
