The Hübeli residential buildings

The property is located in the townscape protection zone of Giswil. The new buildings do not assume the typology of the neighbouring buildings but refer to existing landscape elements such as the retaining walls of the railway tracks. Consequently, the three one-storey buildings along the contour lines are inserted halfway into the steep hillside. The offset arrangement and staggering of the buildings in the hillside ensures the privacy of the individual residential units. The flats are composed of two room types: large living spaces placed over the entire depth of the building with hillside skylights alternating with more private rooms and adjacent, hillside secondary spaces.
